Another great explanation of who the leaders are, what they stand for, and what the process will be. Is the ball in Macron’s hands or will 35% be enough?

RN look like going close to attaining an outright majority. The ball is definitely in Macron's court, if the cordon sanitaire holds the centrist ENS will align with the NFP. That cordon is increasingly difficult to maintain though and I think there is a large enough groundswell of support for the RN for doing so to cause widespread civil unrest.

But Macron has a few days to decide, it really comes into play for voting in the second round, next weekend on the 7th.

I guess whatever the out come of the elections the political landscape will remain captured in a no easy fix.The french are suffering and if you know the french they will want change right now .small protests are underway now.Radical change will be required none are up to the task sitting in the political wind of failure.It will be a interesting situation to watch .also the EU blocks infatuation and emotional investment in Ukraine over the interests of the people is not useful.
