My Dear Simon, 👏🙋‍♀️👏

Tonight was great thank you again. I did something to my X account and was lucky to get on tonight. Don't ask how as I don't know what the hell I did. Taking my laptop to get some help. Being honest with you love I'm terrible with computer stuff and yes I have really tried. Not clever like you.

Now don't laugh but when I was learning and had gone to computer classes I learnt heaps. Short story time, here I am sitting at my computer then as I use a laptop now doing my homework for the following week for class I kept smelling smoke so looking around everywhere and couldn't see anything. I went right through my home searching and even went outside nothing.

Then I go back and start again and could smell it, the next minute my route is sparking, smoke pouring out of it. I jump up pulling everything out so it didn’t go up in flames...🤣🤣 After I had done that my computer started smoking out the back..Simon I can't win. Computer guy came out and had no idea what was wrong with it but the whole lot was shot, it wouldn't go so it went out to the rubbish and I had to buy another one and start all over again. So I ask people have you ever blown up your computer yet because I have.🤣🤣 They look at me with a weird look 🤣 I don't care. 🤣.

No more story time as I will drive you crazy with my stories.🤣 You don't want to know about what happened to my last laptop!!🤣 🤣 God I would drive anyone crazy with me and computer stuff, they would be pulling out their hair and throwing their arms up in the air and walking away..🤣🤣🤣🤣 Let's put it this way when the computer guys see me coming I think they go and hide..🤣🤣🤣🤣. What the hell has she done now..🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 "O" well some mothers do have them!!🤣

Thanks again Simon as your the best.. Take care my friend..

With love 🥰 and peace ✌️ Debbie...

Debbie that sounds suspiciously like an electricity spike rather than a computer issue. For both your router and your computer to go like that points in the direction of an electricity fault.

The problem with that is it could happen again and damage other expensive items, not to mention risk to people of shock and fire.

I recommend you get an electrician in to have a look at your house wiring, and I further suggest you plug your expensive electronics into a multibox with surge/overload protection. You can buy these many places, they look like this:

https://www.jbhifi.co.nz/products/pudney-power-board-with-overload-protection-4-outlet

The term for the key feature you're looking for is "surge protection" or "overload protection" in a device called a "multibox" or a "power board."

Hey Simon, 🙋‍♀️ Thank you Simon for your advice. Yes I thought that to and got an electrician out straight away. I did have a surge/overload protection which I have with all my electronics. Electrician couldn’t find a thing and was very thorough. I showed him everything before throwing out computer and route. This electrician was lovely and said don't worry I have a friend that's fixes computers etc and he came to my place. It wasn't anything I had done for a change lol. Something to do with the wiring or something in the route and computer. Sorry I can't remember exactly what he called it now. Inside the computer all those funny looking things that they have to used a soldering iron to put the pieces together I think. Sorry about the explanation I don’t know what they are called. lol And what got me the computer was 2 weeks over the warranty but they were pretty good and gave me a good discount. Thanks again Simon for replying as it's lovely to hear from you. Take care my friend.

With love 🥰 Debbie..
